There is nothing to be valued more highly than to have people praying for us; God links up His power in answer to their prayers.
(Oswald Chambers).
Get in touch if you would like us to pray for you, someone else or a situation that concerns you.
Quote for Weekly Prayer
Prayer that is born of meditation upon the Word of God is the prayer that soars upward most easily to God’s listening ears. RA Torrey
Weekly Prayer (based on Ephesians 1.15-23)
Dear God, I give thanks for the knowledge of Your love for me through Jesus Christ my Saviour. Help me to be ever faithful in prayer to make mention of all that You have blessed me with. I ask that You will give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation as my knowledge of Jesus increases through reading my Bible. Let the eyes of my understanding be enlightened that I might know what is the hope of Your calling and what are the riches of the glory of the inheritance Jesus has secured for me, an eternally, wonderful, home in the presence of You, dear Lord God. Help me to recognise and appreciate what is the exceeding greatness of Your power toward me as I confess my belief in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, according to the working of Your mighty power. Give me a deeper understanding of what You worked in and through Jesus Christ when You raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at Your right hand in heaven. Father, thank You for the commitment Jesus made, and the steps He took to Calvary to set me free from my fears, burdens and sins. For there He died, but rose to life again that I might have life in Him. So, with a grateful heart I give thanks for Your love, encompassing me wherever I am. Let me hear Your voice, that still small voice in the midst of the busyness, to lead and guide me into a deeper fellowship with You. Teach me in Your ways, in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Church Services in person within the church buildings will be conducted this week by our Minister, Morag.
If you are thinking of joining us, find our street address and contact numbers here.
Each week our reflections and prayers are accessible on our dedicated telephone service. Although this won’t be an exact copy of the service on Sunday, it will give you some thoughts to ponder on for the week ahead.
God’s Word is integral to our faith, church life and spiritual growth so even if you have been to the service on Sunday in the church, it’s good to listen in again as a reminder or to help with a personal Bible study on the theme for this week.
If you can’t manage to the church service do listen in to this phone message, and be encouraged for the week ahead.
The telephone number is a local rate call and normally lasts for around 15-20 minutes as no hymns will be included.
To listen to our reflection for this week, dial 01555 363309.
